Europe Nepal Health Award

The Europe Nepal Health Award is an initiative of the Society of Nepalese Healthcare Professionals in Europe (SNHPE). It recognises and honors health professionals who have made exceptional contributions to improving healthcare in Nepal. The award aims to acknowledge the dedication of individuals, groups, and institutions working tirelessly to enhance the health of Nepalese communities and/or strengthen the professional rights of health professionals in Nepal.

The award will be presented annually and includes:
· An Award Certificate (Tamrapatra = Inscription on a copper plate)
· An Award Prize of NPR 100,001

The inaugural Europe Nepal Health Award 2025 will be presented during an award ceremony in Nepal in 2026. After three successful years, SNHPE intends to either increase the prize amount or expand the number of awardees from one to two.

Nomination & Selection Criteria
· Nominees can belong to any health profession.
· Nominees may work at primary, secondary, tertiary health institutions, or academic/medical institutions.
· Nominees must have at least 10 years of experience in the health profession and have worked at least 5 years improving the health of Nepalese communities.
· Nominees should demonstrate innovation, leadership, passion, and compassion in their work.
· Eligible nominees include health professionals, individuals, groups, or institutions contributing to health sector and/or the professional rights of health workers in Nepal.
· Nominees must not be subject to any practice restrictions, ongoing professional or criminal investigations, or disciplinary actions.

Nomination Process
· The nomination process will be determined during the 4th quarter of the year.
· The SNHPE Executive Board will review and evaluate potential candidates and select one awardee for the year.

The award will be presented jointly by Guest of Honors, a representative of SNHPE and the Founding Member(s) during the award ceremony.
